It’s not who we are underneath, but what we do that defines us.”

We all start somewhere, which may be the minor step taken at the start. You may have designed a whole ‘where I’ll be in the next five- or ten-years’ chart. But the most important thing is to take the first leap and then grow into the best version of yourself. This process of going from being an amateur to being a professional in your selected journey can be a lot more enjoyable or distressing, depending on what you are starting to do. Are you doing what you are passionate about it or because others are doing it? Do you have an end in mind, or are you doing it to bring about a change in the near future?

Let’s talk about the vast media industry and America’s pop culture, where thousands of people and a dozen hosts or media persons are running in the horse race, but only some people in this domain can achieve more significant things. You need a certain kind of charisma, consistent dedication, and humbleness. To stand out among the crowd, you need to put forward your extraordinary and outstanding efforts.

One such exceptional example to look forward to if you are finding your ideal, a person whose journey can be your inspiration, is Zay Zay Aquino— a Latin American host and media personality.

Everyone in their childhood must have performed in front of their home guests at the request of their parents, including you and me. Aquino was no exception; he, too, used to entertain their guests on weekends, but rather than being a shy and innocent child, he was a bold and genuinely passionate one. He loved what he was doing, and it was interesting to him. After discovering his passion in the music industry, he indulged in such activities every day and night. This insignificant spark turned into a burning desire, so he diverted all his attention to this chapter of his life.

Zay Zay Aquino—born in New York, is a graduate of The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with an Associate of Arts and Sciences— majoring in Music and Video Business in 1995; his formal career began as an editor and a voiceover artist.

After graduating, Aquino’s formal career began in 1994 as an editor and producer at The Box. In 1998, he left The Box, joined Manhattan Transfer Miami as an Editor, and served until 2001. Along the way, he began working as a professional voiceover artist. Aquino then joined TelevisaUnivision and worked as a video editor till 2003. Then he started hosting on television mun2. From January 2007 to January 2013, he hosted the radio show The Top 20 Latin Urban Countdown. In April 2010, he began serving as an entertainment reporter for CineMovie TV. He was a Producer at MNR – Monday Night Regulars, from 2009 to 2013. Aquino worked as a video editor and producer for Discovery Networks from 2008 to 2017. He is known for hosting several shows on television, such as FuZion, Speedlogic, GamerTV, and Keepin’ It Reel.

All these years of hard work and dedication led to the most significant and phenomenal step in his career, as he launched his venture, Zayzay.com, as a host, presenter, and media personality in 2011. Another milestone— is Aquino Media Company, where he has been serving as an Executive Producer since 2003.

Zay Zay found his passion and then worked towards it; he caught that spark of being a bold entertainer and built a fire fueled by his enthusiasm around it. This kind of success story isn’t the inspirational stories we read daily. Take this as an inspiration to do a lot of things to find your passion, stick to it, and create a career out of it to acquire more remarkable milestones.

“One thing you learned as you grow is that life has many chapters. And every chapter has great and pertinent information that will inform the next. So, enjoy every chapter. The book will be amazing.”
